Work flow

We would like to make the mutual exchange of documents as trouble-free as possible and recommend to our clients the following procedures:

File Exchange Formats
We use many different programs in our design work as do many of our clients and suppliers. Our program versions are not always in sync or perhaps you are using an alternative program.

For this reason we ask that all textual documentation be sent in a common format (eg PDF or RTF). To avoid file exchange problems please convert Word documents to RTF or PDF. (MS-Word allows full macro-scripting. It is now the most common carrier for viruses).

In the case of exchange of auto-cad and other design files, please transfer such files in as early a format as possible and/or send along PDF versions.

File Transfer (FTP)

It is best not to send large files via eMail as this can cause server problems for both the sender and receiver. We can provide our clients with access to our FTP server in oder to expedite the exchange of documentation, drawings, and other large data files.
